ZigBee 3.0 natural gas sensor

A modern, technologically advanced gas detector with the option of connecting to WiFi, status control and threat notifications in any location. Avoid returning home and the risk of explosion. Be informed about the threat in advance.

Attention! For proper operation of the device, a ZigBee 3.0 gateway is required, available in our offer:

In addition to the classic function of a local siren and alarm sensor, the device has a built-in processor and connectivity via the ZigBee protocol. After detecting a threat, the device starts local alarming with a loud siren >75dB, lighting and sends an alarm to the application on your phone. You will receive this important message wherever you are.

High sensitivity thanks to a modern electrochemical sensor.

Natural gas, used e.g. in gas stoves, is a colorless gas, slightly perceptible. It is lighter than air, so it accumulates in the upper parts of rooms. When combined with oxygen, it creates a highly explosive mixture. Installing gas sensors in rooms where gas installation leaks may occur is a way to early detect the risk of gas explosion. Make sure that the sensor is mounted correctly, 1.5 to 4 meters from the gas source and at the appropriate height from the ceiling or floor.

Basics of the ZigBee protocol.

The ZigBee protocol operates on the 2.4 GHz frequency, which propagates well in buildings.

ZigBee connectivity is a MESH communication which means that each ZigBee device acts as a relay for the other devices. If a remote sensor does not have communication with the ZigBee gateway, it is sufficient that it has radio communication with another ZigBee device that has communication with the gateway. The devices work in a mesh chain of connections, which ensures reliability and certainty of the connection.

ZigBee devices and sensors consume very little energy, which gives a long battery life.

In a WiFi network, with 25 devices you will start to experience network problems. You can easily add over 50 devices to the ZigBee switchboard.

Devices using the ZigBee protocol connect to the switchboard in 0.2 seconds when their status changes. WiFi devices take about 5 seconds to connect to the WiFi network after a status change. ZigBee devices have a huge advantage when it comes to automating smart rules.

Most configured ZigBee device automations are performed on an on-premises gateway, not in the cloud. Typical rule: if motion is detected (PIR sensor), turn on the light. The execution time is approximately 0.5 seconds. The execution time of the same rule on WiFi devices is approximately 3-7 seconds.

The ZigBee gateway and ZigBee devices allow for much wider and longer storage of parameter data and device history. Door opening history, temperature history, motion detection history recorded for months back.
