Natural gas, used e.g. in gas stoves, is a colorless gas, slightly perceptible. It is lighter than air, so it accumulates in the upper parts of rooms. When combined with oxygen, it creates a highly explosive mixture. Propane-butane gas (LPG) is heavier than air, just like natural gas, it forms an explosive mixture with oxygen. Installing gas sensors in rooms where gas installation leaks may occur is a way to early detect the risk of gas explosion. Make sure the sensor is mounted correctly 1.5 to 4 meters from the gas source and at the appropriate height from the ceiling or floor.
