WiFi + eWeLink-Remote

M5 is a smart switch with gateway function “eWeLink-Remote”. It is therefore a Gateway/HUB for this standard.

So you can control it using S-Mate or Sonoff R5 remote controls, bypassing WiFi.

Combined with the Sonoff R5 remote control, we get the perfect set for creating the so-called stair systems. This allows us to add a switch (R5 remote control) in a place where it is not possible to connect network cables.
